TRAIN HER IN THE AMAZON WAY

Wow, that’s… So gay. The ones in the middle like they’re about to do oral, and the ones down the bottom are straight up making out. :D
Hippolyta: We are TRAINING
Everyone: You are literally all having sex with each other
Hippolyta: I don’t know what you mean
This is intense Amazon combat training
Everyone: Two of them are literally kissing each other right now
Hippolyta: JUST GALMAZONS BEING PALMAZONS
Hippolyta you useless lesbian!

Honestly, maybe, maybe not. “Nomura’s vision,” at this point, is basically just a Rorschach blot. It’s whatever you want it to be.
If you’re happy with what we got, then you can say, “Thank GOD we didn’t get that Nomura clusterfuck instead.” If you’re not, you can say, “Jesus fucking Christ, Nomura’s vision would have HAD to be better than this.”
Either way, these are not demonstrable, substantiated statements. These are not things anyone actually can back up, considering how little we know about what Nomura’s vision was or what it might have looked like by the time it actually reached the end of development, having gone through all the necessary revisions that inevitably come along the way.
It’s all just…projecting.
Now, from what we did see of Nomura’s vision, I can say there are parts that, to me, absolutely do look a hell of a lot better than what we actually got.
Like the fact that, in his version, Noctis actually witnessed and fought in the fall of Insomnia. I mean, that’s a no-brainer. Personal, firsthand investment beats randomly reading about it in a fucking newspaper any day. Every day.
But then we do have to weigh that against the fact that Nomura’s version was so unwieldy, it basically couldn’t get made, so who really knows what it would have looked like in the end? I just really don’t find wistful what-ifs about Nomura’s vision to be a fruitful line of thought.

Quick note before I say anything: I’m only on Chapter 3 and so far the main plot is pretty underwhelming. The relationship between the guys is great, but when it comes to the fall of Lucis (which is the only thing that happened so far), the game does a bad job of making me care. Showing a few quick scenes from Kingsglaive is a bad substitute.
But yeah, as Mod A said, we really didn’t know anything about Nomura’s version of the game. There’s bits and pieces here and there, but we went years without seeing much. Stella’s one example of fans creating a fantastic story where there wasn’t one.
“SHE’S A STRONG FEMALE CHARACTER WHO FIGHTS AND HAS AN INTERESTING RELATIONSHIP WITH NOCTIS”.
Things we saw her do: Hold a rapier and drop some lore exposition to Noctis. Riveting.
I’m not going to make a judgement call on where Versus or XV would’ve been better since the former didn’t get anywhere. Speaking broadly, I do prefer Nomura’s stories over Tabata’s, by a large margin, but those are different titles.

The second CT novel is an adaptation of CT, but the first one isn’t. It focuses on Tsubaki in a timeline where Noel doesn’t exist - this is very likely the timeline that Hakumen comes from, as well.
Basically, Tsubaki runs around trying to find Jin as Hazama manipulates her from the shadows. Ragna is basically doing the same thing he does in CT, except he kills Arakune (with Tao watching) because Litchi was treating Tsubaki’s injuries after she got into a fight with Tager and lost. Tsubaki runs out of the clinic, leaves her handgun behind (yeah, she doesn’t use Izayoi here).
Terumi gets into the Alucard Castle, taunts Rachel, then leaves. Ragna fights Carl outside the NOL headquarters. Ragna gets in, it’s basically the same as CT. Ragna and Nu fight, Jin interrupts and Nu goes to kill him, but Tsubaki jumps in front and dies protecting him. Nu and Ragna go into the cauldron, and Jin jumps after them.

Because he’s the Central Fiction, it’s Amaterasu’s desire for him that makes the world as it is. She hates him because of his relationship with Celica, how he behaves, and the fact that his existence is partially responsible for the suffering of everyone she loves. However, in the moments leading up to her death, I think Nine realised that he’s the only hope to saving everyone she holds dear, so the hate starts to melt away a little.
