azure-lust asked:

If you don't mind me asking, does CF mark the end of BlazBlue, or just the beginning?

It’s a fine question, don’t worry

CF is the ending of Ragna’s arc, and the main BlazBlue story as we know it, but it’s not the end, and may be the beginning of new things. The arcs of Ragna, Nine, Celica, and Es (presumably) are over, but we still have Naoto and Mai’s arcs to continue, with perhaps many more to come in the future.

I can’t wait to see what Mori may have in store for us in the future.

Fact of the day

Nearly all characters have a theme for the names of their moves. For example, Hibiki’s moveset has a bird theme.

ogiga99

Here’s a complete list of them (or at least all that I know of).

Ragna: Hell imagery.

Jin: Ice theme (duh).

Noel: Her Distortion Drives, Exceed Accel and Astral Heat all reference Norse Mythology.

Rachel: Names of plants.

Tao: None to my knowledge.

Tager: Some of his moves are centered around electricity or other types of power sources.

Litchi: Mahjong hands.

Arakune: Math terms.

Bang: Many of his moves having his name in them. A lot of them also end in Jutsu/Technique.

Carl: Music terms.

Hakumen: Some of his moves come from flowers/nature.

Nu/Lambda: Brands of cars.

Tsubaki: Something to do with justice/judgement or holy stuff.

Hazama: Snakes or poison (duh).

Mu: Dieties and weapons from Japanese Mythology.

Makoto: Outer space.

Valkenhayn: Wolfs or hunting.

Platinum: Magical girl anime references.

Relius: None that I can see aside from being in Latin.

Amane: Names of Super Sentai shows (seriously).

Bullet: A few of her moves have a fire theme but that’s it.

Azrael: Type of missiles.

Izayoi: Things from Gundam Seed, Gundam Seed Destiny and Gundam 00 (seriously).

Kagura: Dragon theme.

Terumi: Snakes (again duh).

Kokonoe: Always start with “Armament No.” something and end with version something.

Celica: A combination of food/cooking terms and Middle Ages weapons in French.

Hibiki: Bird theme (as mentioned above).

Naoto: A few of his moves have some dark imagery but not much.

Nine: Her spells are named after a combination of gemstones and negative emotions. Her specials are named after colors.

Izanami: None that I can see.

Es: Arthurian Mythology.

Susano’o: Some of them have a bit of violent imagery but that’s it.

Mai: Like Rachel, flowers.

If I’m missing any let me know.

mystech-master asked:

Okay I'm looking through BB stuff and I found something that says in Hakumen's timeline he wasn't a dick to Saya in their childhood (hence why he doesn't hold the same hostility towards Noel/Mu as other Murakumos). Tell me, WHY doesn't Jin hate Saya in Haku's timeline? I don't see anything that would make him different from the regular Jin who viewed Saya as an obstruction/obstacle for Ragna's attention.

There were some differences in that timeline, and that’s one of them. As to why Jin and Saya actually got on, I don’t think it’s elaborated.

On the other hand, it may just be one of those moments kids have. Their childhood wasn’t all doom and gloom while they lived with Celica, and the vision that Tsubaki gets is just of a daisy chain Saya made for Jin.

As a side-note, another reason why Hakumen was less hostile towards Noel was because she never existed in his timeline, so he didn’t have to put up with her as much. He’s also just generally a very different person with different views, so there’s a lot there which could explain his different way of acting towards Noel.

Fact of the day

It’s very difficult to see, but Rachel’s dress is actually backless and she’s wearing a small cape as cover. She’s one of several female characters (Noel, Mu, Es, Mai, Nine, Makoto, and Izanami) to have been subjected to Mori’s fetish of backless dresses.
